This weld-it-yourself suspension system increases your wheel mounting surface (WMS) width by 7" total and is designed to achieve 16" of wheel travel with modified long travel CV axles (sold seperately). This kit is compatible with 2WD and 4WD models and is designed for 10" travel coilovers and 10" travel bypass shocks. This kit does require frame modification to install as the upper control arm mounts are relocated to a new structure that must be welded to the frame rails. This new structure does not interfere with OEM style upper control arms and does NOT restrict you to J-Arm style upper control arms permanently.
8" J-Arm and 10" J-Arm kits cycle the same amount of wheel travel and have different motion ratios. 8" shocks yield 2:1 MR while 10" shocks yield 1.6:1 MR. Kamono 10" Coilover/Bypass Tower (sold deperately) or custom shock hoop/structure is required.
THE DIY AND WELDED OPTIONS ARE NOT BOLT ON. INNER FENDER/BODY MODIFICATION IS REQUIRED FOR J ARM PIVOT MOUNTING. BUMP STOP STRUCTURE REQUIRES MODIFICATION FOR FULL UP TRAVEL. FACTORY STRUT TOWERS MUST BE CUT FOR COILOVER MOUNTING CLEARANCE. BODY LIFT WILL INCREASE EASE OF INSTALL AND REDUCE MODIFICATION REQUIRED. THIS KIT IS FOR OFFROAD USE ONLY!
If you aren't willing to do a significant level of fabrication to run this kit, the +3.5" A-Arm LT kit requires much less modification. The wheel travel and shock options are somewhat restrictive compared to the J-Arm LT kits.
